形態的特徴 葉は互生.葉柄の長さは1.5~3.0cm,葉身は薄くて膜質,卵形,広倒卵形ないし広だ円形,長さ5~11cm.葉先はとがり,基部はくさび形,広いくさび形ないし,円形,辺縁にきょ歯がある.
生態的特徴 朝鮮半島,中国,アムール,樺太,日本に分布.北海道,本州の北部及び中部の山地に自生.つる性の落葉性高木.雌雄異株.
