Summary | Polygala tenuifolia (Onji) is an perennial herb in the family Polygalaceae which grows naturally in east part of Huabei (the North China) and northeastern part of China . The plant is used mainly as an expectorant and tonic. Field-cultivation studies of this plant have so far been reported, however, there is no report on tissue culture. Here tissue culture conditions for the regeneration of plants from the callus which induced from the leaf segment of the seedlings have been reported to establish the vegetative mass propagation of this plant. |
Objectives | Establishment of vegetative mass propagation method for Polygala tenuifolia |
